International Women's Day

This International Women’s Day we want to applaud the women who inspire us and celebrate how far we have come. Nevertheless, we understand that we’ve still got long to go before women can consider themselves truly equal worldwide. That’s why we’ve decided to use our platform, as a business that supports women and puts confidence in their step, to highlight the inequalities that still exist.

According to a 2019 survey by Payscale.com, which took data from 1.8million users, women earn 79 cents to every man’s a dollar. A disparity of 21%. Similarly, a 2018-2019 report done by the Australian Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) showed that the gender pay gap in Australia was $25.7k, or 20.8%.

This is why we have decided, as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations, to offer a 21% discount on all of our full price shoes.

While we hope our customers enjoy this celebratory gesture, we ultimately aim to raise awareness of the ongoing journey towards gender equality and show that ‘an equal world is an enabled world’.
