Dark Cherry COLOUR CRUSH

Dark Cherry COLOUR CRUSH

26th Feb 2016

Brighten your days with the colour of the season, dark cherry. This chic shade pops perfectly against neutral tones and is an instant outfit updater. Whether in the form of go-anywhere flats or polished points, this sophisticated colour is well-worth adding to your palette. We’ve enlisted the help of Sydney-based blogging duo Tracy Samimi and Zoe Grant of Two in a Million to show us how to style this hue for new season perfection.

We love a pop of dark cherry for AW16! What are your top tips for styling this bold colour without overdoing it?
Dark cherry is edgy and luxe, but it can also be hard to pull off successfully. Our top tip is to be confident and prepare to stand out (in a good way). Wearing neutral tones such as whites and greys, light blue denims and black can help you to effortlessly pull off a sophisticated look.

Where will you be wearing these new season shoe styles?
Anywhere and everywhere. The flats are perfect for our coffee runs and then to carry us throughout the day while at work. Then the heels are perfect to stand out at night, especially the cherry Theodora heels, which are edgy yet comfortable and completely practical.

What is your favourite AW16 trend and how will you wear it?
We are loving the more fitted and structured lines that are coming in for AW16. We will be working this trend by incorporating minimal accessories and an IT bag to give some substance and make this a completely effortless look.

The Wittner AW16 campaign is all about being confident, comfortable and walking your own way. What gives you confidence?
Other women. We are inspired and challenged by women who are successful and unique. We always lean on each other for confidence, but surrounding yourself with supportive friends is also paramount.

Who is your style muse?
We admire Christine Centenera who uses her style as a method of expressing herself and her creativity. We are continually inspired by her ability to start trends as opposed to following them and that she isn’t afraid to experiment and try something different.
